Just like anything else, it’s the body’s way of expressing itself, telling us that something isn’t quite right, and so there’s at least 80% of the population out there are suffering from headaches at least once a month, if not more.
In fact, in many ways, exercising each day is likely to make your child a better student. Movement triggers the release of chemical substances in the brain that enhance brain function. Now here’s a quick snapshot of the benefits of movement. Number one, better brain function movement may protect your brain against degenerative changes.
And that’s why we have an immune system to make sure that we can live with them and they can live with us, uh, and we can be healthy throughout our lives.
So if you’ve suffered on and off, you’ve gone to chiropractors and it’s worked for you well, it maybe you just need to be more consistent because anything in life that is worth doing, we need to do it consistently throughout our life.
The second is make sure you’re getting enough rest. When our body is overwhelmed and overtired, it becomes stressed and one of the first things that can happen are headaches.
And what we want to do for all those people that have decided at this time, it’s not best for ’em to come out and come into our office for these adjustments. We wanna make sure that you are doing everything you can do at home to avoid backsliding as much as possible, at the very least, to slow that process down.
Yet the miracle of the body is that we can change so much more than than ourself. Once we achieve a clearer head space, clarity of thinking and better emotional balance, we can positively influence those around us too.
Other stressors from toxins such as herbicides, pesticides, medication, and pollution can cause subluxation along with physical trauma such as slip or fall or even microtrauma such as bad habits or posture. So the eighth take home message is that subluxation is caused by stress.
No wonder so many Americans are physically inactive, skip work, suffer from back pain, and take antidepressants like Tic Tacs. If life is a race, we’re only beating ourselves.
Subluxation causes dysfunction in the nervous system at a spinal level that can manifest as symptoms and conditions. You might think chiropractic is about your back and in many ways it is but really it’s about wellness and it all starts with the brain body connection.
The World Health Organization says that subluxations occur when a spinal joint gets jarred out of a healthy position either through traumas or through bad habits. This tweaking and twisting of tissues creates damage to the soft tissue which creates inflammation and causes nerve irritation.
I want you to think of your spine as your suit of armor. It’s your lifeline. In fact your spine protects your spinal cord which is part of your central nervous system just like your skull protects your brain. Remember your brain and spinal cord are one continuous system.
The flow of that intelligence or information across the nerves is what keeps you healthy and healing. All tissues organs and organ systems rely on this nerve system to or nerve supply to function well and stay healthy.
That makes every choice we make in life important. We are either giving our body what it needs, or we’re interfering with its program. So let’s not forget how smart our bodies are. There is an innate intelligence that runs your body.
